Road Noise - I think !!

Hi
I have an E70 with 20'' run flat tyres
I'm quite concerned with the amount of what my dealer says is Road Noise from these 20'' tyres - I get what sounds like a hollow din when the tyres are warmed up (probably a better explanation is the noise you get if you blow over the top of an open empty bottle).
Does anyone else experience this and other road noise from their E70.
Many thanks

I have the 20s (Dunlops) and don't have that noise. There have been a few previous threads on this subject, but as far as I recall they didn't reach a conclusion.

My 07 X5 4.8 also come with Dunlop 20" and on certain road surface, I do notice that hollow roaring noise like described above.

That roaring noise seem to be more prevalent with higher tire pressure (in the case when my cold tire pressure coming from the dealer was at 35psi front and 37psi rear). I kept my cold tire pressure at 32psi front and 34 psi rear now and seem less noisy (still happens on some road surface just not as loud)

Nick,

It's not really polite to post the same questions in multiple forums at the same time.

Thanks

Nick,

Not going to respond to the last post except to say that I do try to help where I can...

I can say that myself, and a fair number of other X5 owners, have already responded to others that have asked the same question as yours in the last couple of months....
