Dealer said to get a new one every two years, and at $200 or whatever, that's ok with me.

The dealer told me that I get one at the first year anniversary.

Go into iDrive > Communication > BMW Assist and update services, then make a call using the concierge or something

Ira forgot to do mine last month, take it back to the dealer and have them do it right. Its worth it.

I bought mine at Ira too. I had a suspision the saleperson didn't know what she was doing. I brought to a place closer to my house here in Maine yesterday. they said they had to resend the signal and now it works fine. I bet she never sent the info the first time. What a waste of a day.

If the dealer didn't fax your application to the assist office, it won't be set up. Try it in a day or so. It took me two days to get everything correct. They could pin point my location and what I was driving, but my name and other info hadn't been loaded into the system.....Phil
