How much over invoice should I pay for my new X5?
Anyways, my good friend is the internet manager and he told me they would sell it to me for $2000 over invoice. I think that is WAY to high because when I was looking at a Lexus, they were offering $500 over invoice. With the economy and car market the way it is, I would think that $2000 over is unreasonable. How much did you pay over invoice on your X5 and what is acceptable? |

I was just in a similar situation as you, purchased similar items for a 4.8, and paid $1500 over invoice.

Internet sales guys will tell you up front - they do $1500 over invoice, no hassles.

btw, does it matter purchase vs. lease? Do they even go into the final cost figure if you're leasing?

I paid almost $3K UNDER invoice.
Are you people on crack? They make tens of thousands of X5s every year- it isn't a Ferrari 599 for Christ's sake. If you only have one local uncooperative dealer locally put the car out for bid nationally. Even if you have to have it shipped to you you'll save thousands. Try the place I bought from- VOB in Maryland. |

Your price looked a little unbelievable; I hadn't heard of anyone paying under invoice for a 2008 X5. And what did I find when I did that search?? That you had previously posted that you paid $2,500 OVER invoice... http://www.xoutpost.com/x5-e70-forum/...tml#post392112 One of your posts about the price that you got is incorrect...

Sounds low - when did you buy the car? Anyone familiar with current BMW to dealer incentives that could make this possible? |
