Those problems certainly suck but are in keeping with first FY Bimmers sadly.

For those of you that were succesful in getting BMW to "buy back" your car, was there anything you can recommend in leveraging a good bargaining positiion? My car was in the shop for a month the week after I got it for a crashed iDrive system and back up camera that kept going back to NAV. I also had a ton of rattles and squeeks from the gauge cluster and the center tunnel.
Fast forward to last month. Car was back in for another backup camera problem. Now showing test screens and just won't come on. Replaced camera and it's better, but today it wouldn't go into backup, but rather went into NAV when everything was clearly in reverse with PDC on. I'm ready to get out of this car and into an M5 possibly. I have an appt to talk to my Finance Manager who handles buy backs, so I'm wondering what I should say as far as convincing them to take the car back. Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated! |
