They're only the plastic fenders. I don't have pics, but do a search with those that have the 214 from the factory. Then compare them to your car.

Here are the different part numbers:

On a side note: The quickest way to tell a 3.0 from a 4.8 is the color of the kidney grills.

3.0 black
4.8 silver
If thats the case then the X5 in the picture is a debaged 3.0 based on the grill which is clearly black, (although it can certainly be changed).

Nah, it's titanium. just a bad angle, plus the mesh grills are also silver.

Guys - remember the German / European Diesel Versions.
The 3.0sd has a titanium grill just like the 4.8.

The Hartge-Picture is probably a 3.0d or a 3.0sd (both Diesel) as Hartge is well known for empowering Diesel-Motors (e.g., they bring 335hps to the 3.0sd instead of the factory 286hps) back here in Germany.

Thanks for the clarification. I was only speaking about US models. You guys in Germany get all the best stuff.

I'm not quite convinced, that Germans/Europeans see it the same way... ... surely we got to pay a crazy amount of money for the X5... e.g., the 4.8 version comes naked for US-$ 110.000,-; with some extras you're easily up to US-$ 150.000,-...
There is only one thing to do...... the bavarian style...

the sure way to tell a X5 is a 3.0si is to look for an opening in the lower front grill - drivers side. If there isn't one then its a 3.0si.

The 4.8i and 3.0sd have this open grill/vent and behind it is a heat exchanger.

I'm not absolutely certain right now but I think the 3.0d does not have the opening either.

The flared guards are fitted when 20 or 21" wheels are ordered from the factory
