Stainless Exhaust E70

Guys,
I will add - whilst I have paid more than I should, it took time to get the system (being in Oz doesn't help), the system quality (stainless and welds) not being what it should be - there is a small upside to this whole Stebro exhaust experience.

It has been commented to me by a number of people now that they love the sound of the car. I am not tonally enamored, but the response has been 100% positive from everyone that have heard it.

So - if you can get the stainless product and want a good sounding system and what ultimately seems like a good price in the USA, i would suggest looking at Stebro. They seem to be getting their act together with Customer Service etc.

I am still going to be installing a few other systems in the next couple of weeks and will post videos/pics for each unit installed - so perhaps if your considering an exhaust system, wait a couple of weeks and I'll post some content for you to consider - I'll do my best to let you know in detail about each system.

I looked into what you paid and it was higher as shipping is alot more to get it to you BUT you did pay more than you should have. Dan did not know you were one of the X5 guys but thought you just ordered it on line via ebay and then contact him directly....either way again that is on us...pm me what you think is fair refund as you mentioned you dont want to ship it back.....We will refund a % and will work it out......PLEASE EMAIL me or I will see you on MSN......

Again if ther are any others that purchased a system through this forum please email me at [email protected] and I will take care of you. We will be doing a second production run in 2 weeks...this time it will be done the way it should have been in the first place......

Stebro have offered a refund and I am awaiting confirmation of same as we speak. Will keep you posted.

Do we know how many systems ended up getting ordered due to their offer on this forum?

Over to you guys for comments - but this isnt what I thought I was buying!
Stero have offered a refund of some kind - i suggested 100% due to the ongoing issues. I have had updates, but no firm reply as yet.
Brent seems to be doing the best he can with senior management - so I guess its over to them to make a decision on how they compensate me for whats happened and what to do with this system.

Anyone else had any luck yet?

All I will say is that my Remus cat back system on my E53 looks better than that does after 6 years of use . Oh, and it cost me $800 at the time . Thanks for the update Juicer, and keep us posted on not only your refund, but also the new contestants! Bigger pictures would definitely be appreciated. You have been extremely patient with Stebro, so hopefully they will take care of you. We all know that word of mouth on forums like this can make or break a supplier . Good Luck!

the kit i received from stebro is actually much better looking than the one you posted...

even the welds are neater on the unit i received...

but... i have decided not to take a chance on the 409 material and opted to wait for the 304 stainless that was originally promised...

i hope to receive it shortly and will definitely post pics and reviews!!

Hi again... hmm very tempting... will wait and see how you go..... did you notice any power gain at all ?? or just the sound..... ???

I'd like a bit more grunt, but also want a better sound.... standard system sounds like a dog trapped under a wet blanket...... could be SO MUCH BETTER........
