I'd love to see a pic of the system sitting flush against the headrest (and I'm sure I'm not alone).

+1.

Also the trim on the units would be better if they matched the seats.

I don't think so pretty sure that kit has been offered for a while.

The various part no's are as follows if you want to compare prices or see if it's still available

Multimedia player 65 12 0 398 354
Retrofit kit player 65 12 0 419 057
Trim kit player 51 16 0 419 951 (anthracite but other colours available)
Monitor 65 12 0 407 241
Cover for monitor 65 12 0 407 248 (various colours again)
Additonal comfort 65 12 0 428 243
seat kit

Screens are 7", comes with two cordless headphones and a remote control. Plays DVD's,CD's and can be connected to games console etc...

At UK prices it looks like it would be the best part of £ 2000 so probably $ 2000 in the US. Again no idea how that compare prices wise or looks wise.

Again,
The above is not the new system that INViSiON is manufacturing for the X5/X6. Please email me and I will send you a snippet from the new BMW X6 Accessories catalog. Thanks!

Just curious. How come you can't post photos of your product or talk about it on the forum? Isn't it easier than getting a bunch of phone calls?

Thanks for your curiosity...My files are too large for this site to handle. Everytime I try to post them the X5World forum says they are too large to display. And I have been talking about them and no disrespect to you my friend, but where have you been reading. I enjoy talking to people one on one because I have a lot of information to offer about our products and a lot of technical information and specifications and to be brutally honest, very little time to write everything out on this forum. I am truly sorry if it is inconvenient for you to call me. But when you can I'll be there to pick up. Take care.

IMO, a headrest mounted system is better because it doesn't extend out into the backseat cabin space like the pictured system does. I know that with the system pictured above, my 3-year old, sitting in his carseat, would use the screen as a foot rest.

However, the main drawback to the headrest mounted system is that you lose the adjustable headrest "pillow" that comes with the multi-contour seats. I don't know how much of a loss that is since I've never had it, but I do wish I had it nevertheless. So neither system is perfect.
You cannot have a system mounted into the headrests for Active Headrests, which a lot of drivers are now taking up due to the low cost option and massive safety feature. This system has been designed with that fact in mind.
I beeive that you'll see most manufacturers coming out with these options in the future
(+ you can swap to new vehcile at a later stage)

I just want Blu_Ray DVD to be standard!!!!!!
