Is the rearview camera as bad as ppl posted? I test drove my friend's '07 Honda Pilot and I was able to see 10-15 feet on rearview camera at night on a street lamp-lit street. With no lights in the back, I can see up to 5 feet. How's the X5 camera compare to this? Any superior aftermarket replacement available?

My biggest peeve with the X5 is the way the door is sealed to the body. Whenever it rains out, if/when the doors are open, the water that is pooled at the top of the doors dumps into the car and onto the seats. Very Very annoying. Even my 2001 Yukon had a rubber seal at the top of the window frame allowing for proper water dispersal.
Very big annoyance!!! |

I washed my E70 outside yesterday (no rain) and once I dried the car, it is annoying when you open the door to park the car .... the water from the roof/top door seal drips onto the seat. Does this happen to everybody? |

Oh have to agree with pushing the rear window down when intending to push down the driver's window. The buttons are placed way too far forward.
Also have to agree with managing the brakes... too sensitive at the lightest touch and I cannot seem to adjust to it. At least it's minor stuff for me.

I wish the outside mirrors folded automatically instead of manually activating each time at startup and shutdown.

Initially, I thought the same as you. Now, I consider that as a worthy design: Just in case parking in a crowded or spaceless place or someone parked very close to you, keeping the side mirrors folded until getting to a "safe" place is beneficial. |
