Oh, and ummm also: the X5 is beautiful, while the X6 looks like an X5 that had a lobotomy. And anyway, it's only a matter of time before the X5 gets the Twin Turbo V8.

Could someone explain to me why the X6 is called an SAV coupe? I always thought a coupe had two doors.

While getting my E53 serviced had the oppurtunity to compare the X5 and X6 at the dealer ... my 2 cents - the X6 is definitely growing on me as far as looks go - even more so in person (rather than pics). There is definitely some 'utility' in the X6 - you just cannot load tall objects - i don't think my golden retreiver can climb up and enjoy a ride standing up. The X6 does look and feel sportier than the X5 (35 vs 4.8). The biggest downside to the X6 is getting into and out of the back seat - i not only knocked my head (i'm only 5'11), i had to twist myself out (much like the Infinity FX45 - which in my opinion is the only direct competition to the X6). To sum, if the technology in the X6 is transferred to the X5, the choice would be even simpler - X5 all the way!

You can do Vishnu tuning on X6 35i and bump-up the HP to much more than X5 4.8i.

Adrian Hooydonk is tall and he seems to sit perfectly in the back seat in this video

Dear LeMansX5,
I would not say that. We just see him sitting but I'm sure his head is touching the roof. I've seated exactly at the same place during the Geneva Motor Show 2008, you feel a little bit opressed when installed at the back seat.
I love the X6 concept, look and performance, but it's a pity to have such a big car and have so small space inside. A panoramic sunroof would for sure bring a better feeling but is not available on X6, just a standard sunroof above front seats is available.
Also the trunk is not very accessible and because of the Coupé shape, you will not be able to load many things in it. I think it is just perfect for a golf bag ;-)
So X6 is very far of the X5 concerning the inside space and utility capabilities.
Anyway, even with these defaults and the fact it will not suite my needs, I would love to have one.

Yes 335xi, more performance, less cost, better looks (than X6), better mpg

Definitely nothing official, but rumours abound.
