I HATE the ACS carbon fibre interior, but Im so so on the Hamann

Im thinking you should go custom Louis Vuitton for something different :P

Does the brushed aluminum feel like it's made of (or looks like) plastic?

the bamboo is way more grey than the photos show - I don't think it looks great at all. the walnut is much darker and richer than the photos.

while I like the car to look sporty from the outside and handle sporty when driving. I want it to feel luxury on the inside - the walnut + black leather accomplishes that best.

That would be nice. Where would one go to get that done? Probably be cheaper to go the Hamann or AC route though.

Really? The only ones that are grey that I've seen are the ones on the 5 series. "Bamboo Anthracite wood trim". I thought the bamboo for the X5 does look like many of the photos.

Can anyone confirm if the Brushed Aluminum for the X5 is the same as that for the X6? I assume it is since the cars interiors are virtually identical (re-use of parts).

The deciding factor for me will really be seeing the brushed aluminum in person inside a X6/X5.

For anyone out there that has the brushed aluminum, can you also confirm if it is easily scratched? I read on another post that someone hated this trim because of that reason.

I was by Crevier BMW this weekend and saw this awesome black X6. (Still X5 is a better fit for me though. X6 if I were still single). It had the black interior with the brushed aluminum trim. The brushed aluminum did NOT feel cheap nor like plastic. It's very striking. I like the strong contrast in person (though some may think this looks too cold). I'm leaning towards it since VERY few X5's in the US are equipped this way. But the Bamboo does give the car more class (what my wife prefers; though her taste in cars is a bit out-dated).
