Active Ventilated Seats- Opinions Wanted
I started thinking about the active ventilated seat package.
Did a search, but didn't find much info on the "ventilated" portion of the AVS package. Lot's of threads talking about the "active" seat portion. So here goes: I live in CA, it's warm to hot most of the time here. Rarely is it ever cold enough that I'd need heated seats. I never really go on long trips (more than 2+ hours) where I need the active seat feature. Traffic here is bad. But I've never been uncomfortable seating through at most 1 1/2 hours. I actually try to drive during off peak times so I'm able to go at a decent speed and cut the drive time to under 40 minutes. Since it does get semi-hot here (90-100 degrees in the summer), I thought the "ventilated" seats might be of use. What are current users feelings about this feature? Does it work well enough to warrant it's purchase? or is it something that you use a few times and just ignore? After reading jwhkc's 10,000 mile update, he commented "Not sure about there is much benefit to the ventilation function. It seems to be a bit weak (even at the highest setting.) Maybe it will be more effective in hot weather. I will reserve final judgment until then" For those that have experienced it in hot weather, please chime in! Thank you. |
