My X5 after 1.5 years is completely reliable, and amazing

Since there seem to be several "my X5 sucks" threads, I wanted to post this.

I've had my X5 for a year & a half, and not only is it my favorite car so far, it has had zero problems. None.

It's fully loaded. Goes anywhere in the snow. Plenty fast - not once have I felt that I wished it were faster. And my other car is an M5.

So, here's to the X5, BMW creating the most amazing SUV (SAV or whatever) car that WAY outhandled the 335i sport I had, and is faster than the old 330i sport I had, and can go anywhere I took my Toyota 4Runner, and has way more style than a stupid Range Rover.

You're lucky! Glad it has been great for you. This is how I felt with my 2004 X5 4.4i and 4.8is. I think some people are happy with their E70, but very, very few of us can say they have had no problems, ever. That's actually pretty rare with any car after 1.5 years! Happy Motoring!

We've had ours for a year next month, and we're still loving it. It's taken us safely all over Europe, including a three week trip to Italy, where the driving/drivers are crazy, and we always felt completely safe and comfortable in our X5.

And it *rolls* on the Autobahn!

I can assure you the vast majority of E70 owners are much like me. I am at 22,000 miles and 1.5 years of ownership and only experienced typical service issues, otherwise I have been relativly problem free and 110% happy with my E70 (2007 first year). BTW- mine is november build which is in the very early production. If mine was stolen today, I would buy another E70 to replace it!!
I agree. I know a few E70 owners locally and they've been very satisfied owners. I'm going on my 1st year with 12k miles and very satisfied with the performance.

I just wish these gas price increases will slow down. It costs almost $100 dollars to fill up nowadays.

Thumbs up My 2007 X5 3.0si Nov 2006 Build is Going Strong!!!

Just clocked over 20,000 miles and I'm still lovin' the hell out of it!!! Only had one issue - Parking Brake failure. Used the mechanical release, then took it to the dealer. They replaced a control unit, and that was that. So after a year and a half (took delivery Dec. 2006), overall - an "Ultimate Driving Machine".

Us too - 13 months here. Never had to go in for anything except the planned CD install into the glove box.
