poll- which configuration to order
 3.0si- Black saph/black perf. nev/bamboo trim/vent. seats/cold weather/prem. pkg/sport pkg/tech package 4.8-black saph/black nev./bamboo/sport pkg/tech pkg/heated frnt/bmw assist difference in price only about three grand, with order date coming up i cant decide which... any opinions much appreciated

4.8i, no question. Negligible difference in MPG for a huge difference in performance. I agree, drop the sprt pckg and get some extra goodies--that is, unless you really want those rims.

I wouldn't hesitate to order the 4.8i if you don't mind the gas. $3k is chump change for what you get in the performance. $9k is a different story (if ordering identical options). BUT, I'd be scared of the jerkiness of the transmission being reported all over the place. Cross your fingers.

Gas wouldnt be a huge issue. I wish they would just throw in the twin turbo (which could be the 3.5?) and that would solve my power thirst, as for a diesel though, I am not too big of a fan

Get the diesel with sport package. I'm not a fan of many options either. Is the tech package that pertinent?
