He said that there's an issue with the airbag light remaining on after the install of these monitors. Are you aware of this issue? He was going to look into it some some more but I thought that was strange. |

Nice but those are not active headrests, you must have a 2007 E70.
Is that the licensed BMW product or an aftermarket solution?

That can't be the same headrest in your car that is in the picture above.
Your DVD system is a full headrest replacement correct? Either that or you had to superglue the monotor to the back of the headrest. If you take the active headrests out of the car it leaves the Airbag removed light on, on your dash. Are there DVD players located inside those monitors or is the dvd player under the seat. From the picture above (active headrest) there is not enough room in the headrest to locate a dvd loader in the headrest, nor would I want to because of the airbag in the headrest. Also, I'm curious what compnay manufactures that DVD system and where the dvd loader is located. It also doesn't appear to have RCA inputs on the panels. Is that a BMW Factory part? IS it a dual DVD player? Thanks for the info.

I also notice a black wire sticking out and running down the right headrest post from each headrest in your car. Do you see that?
Anybody else see that? And that would mean you can't adjust your headrest vertically all the way down just to be sure you don't pinch the wire. Looks like a Myron & Davis product. They used to be famous for having a wire stick out of the headrest. I haven't seen a recent product with a wire coming out though. Not as clean as I thought after I looked a little closer. The picture quality looks very clean!

doesn't matter what you choose to install, must make sure you can cover the units when not in use. they are thieves magnet. my sister took a trip to china town new york in her R500 fully loaded with rear entertainment system, they broke in destroyed the entire interior and took navi, rear entertainment and everything else. to repair the whole thing, it cost her $5K as she doesn't want to deal with comprehensive cover from insurance (it will sky rocket the premium.) good luck.

It is not the same car but it is the same sort of seat!!! Comfortseat Your DVD system is a full headrest replacement correct? No Either that or you had to superglue the monotor to the back of the headrest. Don't know how they did it but it is perfect If you take the active headrests out of the car it leaves the Airbag removed light on on your dash. Only if you start the car. And the dealer can errase the warning very easy. Are there DVD players located inside thos monitors or is the dvd player under the seat. Dvd player is in the tunnelconsole between the seats. I will take a picture tomorrow of my car. They make new leather on the headrest and fill it up. Is that a BMW Factory part? IS it a dual DVD player? Thanks for the info. Not a factory part, dual can be if you want. |

Correct. Yhey could get it through the seat pipe but they have to cut of the under part. I did not want that because the headrestmotorpipe is only stabalized at one pipe. Anybody else see that? And that would mean you can't adjust your headrest vertically all the way down just to be sure you don't pinch the wire. Up and down no problem Looks like a Myron & Davis product. They used to be famous for having a wire stick out of the headrest. I haven't seen a recent product with a wire coming out though. Not as clean as I thought after I looked a little closer. It looks very good. But you can choose to cut of a pice of the motorheadrestpipe. Your choise. The picture quality looks very clean! |
