iDrive unstable..
So I took the X5 in to the Stealership for a simple repair of the back up camera..
I get it back 5 hours later with a functioning camera, but my Navigation kept crashing and stating that there is a disc read error with the DVD. So.. I take it back for that, and 2 days later, and a LONG software download later, AND a new camera later (why they replaced the camera I don't know!).. now my iDrive is re-booting on me about ever 5-10 minutes.. Anyone have anything remotely like this happen to them? Any ideas?

no...mine has been fine since the camera was replaced. Give it back, and tell them not to return it until they are entirely sure it has been fixed.

yeah go again and be nice to them. They don't know sometimes exactly what's wrong with it. hopefully being nice will encourage them to fix it right instead of replace and reset everything and simply return it to you.

If they spent as much time checking out your vehicle before delivery as they do explaining that anything less than 5 stars is a failing grade, they might actually get 5 stars.

When i go in to complain about the X (i've gone in a couple of times to get wheel alignment, transmission software and idrive upgraded and also they did a recall cable fix, all under warrantee) my dealer gave me 328i's everytime. I mean they are tiny but kind of fun to drive as well (feels so light and smooth, reminds me of driving a go-cart)
