Pricing Questions
The big question is: Should I be looking for a lower price? Or is this a good deal at invoice, buying this weekend and could realy use some advice from the group... Thanks... |

form what I read, the prem package (invoice ~$2500) is being offered for free but you need to order it to get this deal. So if you got prem on an x5 being sold at invoice the dealer is making ~$2500. In this market you should be able to get a better deal.

Ordered mine on 3 JUL for a 1st week of AUG delivery, lots of options, 2070 below invoice.
I have seen some on dealer lots discounted up to 6 grand from msrp. Good luck. |

I'm in Connecticut and I just bought a loaded X5 4.8 at invoice - it was a cancelled order by someone else. I may have been able to work it a little bit, but they were giving me very good money on a 2008 S6 trade.
With the current incentives out there and buying at invoice, I'd would make the decision then on the best dealer to use for service, how close it is from your house, how they treat you, what the facility is like, etc. I wouldn't drive an extra 45 minutes from my house to save a couple hundred more. Just my opinion. You're already getting a super deal and clearly some dealers are better to work with then others. Plus, when you are in for service, you want a nice place to sit and wait, etc... Good luck and congrats on the new toy.

Do you think you can get the same type of deal on a 535?

Just wondering. Is the pricing at invoice or under invoice the out-of-door price (including license, taxes, etc) or just the price of the car?
If it's just the price of the car, you can definitely get at least $1000-$1500 under invoice (even more if you are a great negotiator and have good relationships with the dealer). |

I went by a dealership in my area this afternoon. I was offered the 3.0l with premium package, tech package, rear climate package, 3rd row seat and other small options with the invoice price and 0.9% financing.
After reading the posts here, I think this deal is decent but there could be more room to negotiate. What would you guys suggest? thanks. |

To Cloudz:
I do believe that price is regionally sensitive so I cannot comment on CA market. based on what I was able to negotiate in Chicago, a good deal is below invoice. Call around to other dealers, including out of state and use those offers as a basis to negotiate with your local dealer. Good luck. |

got mine under invoice
hey all...i just took delivery on my 08 X5 4.8i Alpine/Beige fully loaded with every option except heated rear seat/3rd row seat, invoice 68,985 and got it for 64,200 w/ the 0.9%...I acutally ended up getting another 4K off because there was a scratch on the instrument panel and they said they couldnt fix it without pulling out the whole panel and that would cost more in parts/labor than it was worth to them so they asked if i could "tolerate" the scratch (which btw is only about 2" max and not deep at all) for an additional discount...so of course i said yes!...so i really ended up getting it for 60,200...so even without the additional discount i was still 4785K under invoice! just keep walking away (i did for almost 2 weeks) and they will call with the right price!!
good luck!! |

Yeah. Definitely negotiate more. The 0.9% financing is offered by BMW FS not the dealer. With the premium package creidt + the bad economy you can definitely do better.
As for vabeachrunner4, that is one killer deal. Just not sure how it is possible to get so much under invoice. It's one thing for the dealer to give a car away, but another to pay someone to take it. I'm not questioning the validity of your deal. It is possible. I'm just thinking that it's an exception rather than the norm. |
