My Alloy Wheel Repair guy promised to drop off touch-up paint and details of the paint code. I just sent him an email reminder yesterday so I don't have that yet.

Mine is actually quite a bit different. I think it's the metallic in it. Here's the link to the picture above. I need to take a photo in the evening which really emphasizes the difference. The edges look like they've been pin-striped.

I actually think that my wheel guy custom-mixed the paint...

I was able to find the code that my SA indicated on my work order.

A80 51-91-0-427-992.

This should be the paint code for Ferric Grey

They look dirty in ferric Grey IMO. I always run dustless brake pads on all of my BMW's so personally I like them bright silver and clean looking.

Maybe some do but mine definitely do not. I posted a picture earlier in this thread (post #33) -- they are shiny metallic and show the wheel contours and edges a lot more than the bright silver does.

Bright silver wheels look washed out and have a lack of shadowed edges in comparison. But that's just my (informed) opinion on having had them done...
