Do you have to cut the pipe, connect and weld it???
Please let us know how the installation will be proceeded.
The dealer told me that it will be at my door in about three weeks.
I'm so excited now!!!

No welding needed, unless you want to. You cut the existing pipes about two inches from the muffler, slip these on (they come with the clamp), and tighten the clamp. The clamp can not be seen unless you crawl under the car.
Pretty slick.

UPDATE!

Oval, chrome replacement tips ARE available in the US! They CAN be ordered through your dealer, and they WILL get them from Germany in 10 business days!

I terminated the order in Germany, and placed the order through my local dealer. The cost?
$165.- USD shipped to my address! A bit more than in Germany, but no hassle, and more business for my dealer (who is a friend, and a former business partner).
And that's the end of the saga. I'll have them installed in less than two weeks.

That's the way to go.

I'd rather go pick it up and save $30 j/k. hahaha... You still got a great deal though. I paid $396.90 to the dealer and they will ship it from RI to my front door in CA after they receive it from Germany. Isn't it crazy??

If you put them on a 3.0, do you need to cut out the bumper openings around the tips to make them fit?

No cutting needed. The bumpers are identical on both cars, except the 3,0 bumper has the "plugs". I punched my plugs out long time ago, and installed the aftermarket tips, because the factory retrofit was not available. Now it is.

So they just "pop off" without having to cut them. Do you need to remove bumper to punch them out? Do you need to remove bumper to install new muffler tips?

Thanks for the great info! Thinking of ordering these tips!!! Just don't want to have to remove bumper.
