Yeah, the shop foreman told me 5-6 K for break in. It doesn't help that it really cold here now as well. No problems to report using the diesel in the cold weather today.

Good to hear you have had no problems with the cold. Early hours still, but still good to hear. Sidenote: your vehicle only feels absolute temperature, not windchill.

Not surprised by your mileage. It is a new, tight engine. You are using winter fuel. Most importantly, the expectations for higher mileage are based on imperial gallons, not US gallons. Please let us know how it goes as it gets broken in.

Thanks, I will let everyone know my mileage as well as any problems... I just watched a new BMW commercial on TV showing how the diesel gets twice the mileage as a gas engine.

It's going down to -5 tonight. It was -4 this morning when I went out...
