Replacing trim

Hi folks

I'm new to the world of X5's so hopefully you guys can help me out a bit. So I currently own a 2008 M3, but for one reason or another I'm going to trade it out for a X5. Now I want to get the 35d, however the dealer has a 4.8i on the lot with the same spec as I would order with the 35d other than the trim. He's willing to do a very good deal on the car on the lot, for obvious reasons!

The problem is, I dont like the dark wood trim. I would order the aluminum or bamboo if I could configure it myself. The question is, could I replace the trim? I've done it before on the E46 ... but has anyone done it on the E70?
