I don't think he is lying either, because to me it makes sense for BMW to keep their sales folks working hard to move existing inventory and offers them plausible deniability in cases where they tell customers "I don't know of anything coming out to replace XYZ".

BMW always has embargo on what info can be told outside of BMW. If BMW employees or press people break the embargo then there access is cut-off plus the fines.


From what I have heard; 2011 models listed below will be released in US in spring of 2010. 2011 X3 and 6-series will debut in fall 2010.
1-series - N55 engine for 135 coupe and convertible
3-series with N55 engine for 335i and N54 for 335is, with facelift for coupe and cabrio
5-series - New F10 5-series debut at Geneva
7-series - 740i and 740li release for US
X5 - Facelift with N55 engine for xDrive35i and TT8 xDrive50i
X6 - new N55 engine for xDrive35i
Z4 - new z4 sDrive35is
