Our member palbay(popularly known as Agent Palbay. He started this thread) lives close to the X5 factory. Those who have been around for a while know that he provided us with X5 M and X6 M spy shots and videos as well as first X6 spy shots. He is the one who has been providing us with all the spy shots of LCI X5. He also sells his shots to popular auto spy Brenda Priddy. He has been busy with his new job for last 6 months or we would have seen more spy shots.

I'm really waffling on my X5d purchase. Wavering between sticking with that or upgrading to the X5 M or even getting tempted into a grandpamobile in the LX570 (heresy I know). I really hate it when they update a vehicle I just bought!

I don't think that's LCI X6 info. X6 started with year 2008. So, LCI year for X6 should be 2012 model year coming in fall 2011.

That's is just a release about some diesels(not coming to US) and the N55 engine coming in spring to X6. We already know that LCI X5 is getting N55 engine, but no new diesels in US for now.

Why is BMW torturing us.....why no info on the X-5? What about the bigger engine?? Every model getting something new has pretty much been announced...The Silence on the X-5 is deafening....if they are shutting down in march to modify the line in preparation for the LCI and engines when o when will they announce it??Maybe we should start a pool....Ill take this friday the 22nd...

Someone suggested Geneva, starting March 4th, as a potential launch when it became clear the LCI wouldn't be appearing at Detroit. Sounds about right to me...

I just came back from my dealership and the CA confirmed that the factory was closing down in March/April for retooling for the new bumpers and in prep for the new 3.0 engine (did he say it was a single turbo with two fans?). Anyway, that's the measly bit of info I just got, and he said it's all they've told sales people.

I think I am going to pull the trigger on my 35d next week or so, and just live with the fact that some folks will have LED lights several months later. The new bumpers aren't really that big of a deal to me.
