Anyone think its' safe to go to summer tires yet?

I'm in New England and I'm thinking about putting the 20's back on. Anyone else?

I don't know about New England but I'm showing temps in the 40s-50s for the rest of the month in NY. I say go for it (but then it's not much risk for me).

I'm waiting until April. I'm in Waterloo, ON, Canada. It will get cold this weekend and early next week in the east

there's an old saying: you should use winter tires in every month with an 'R' in its name...
I usually put them on from November through the end of march
but again, not that much snow here in Belgium...

lol I don't mean to sound like a hypocrite, but my service rep from BMW called this morning to let me know that my replacement tail-light assembly part is in(right now has water in it). I'm scheduled to have it replaced next Tuesday and I'll be bringing my summer set in as well to have them swapped.

little earlier than I anticipated but seems like it could be nice starting next week.

I think its a pretty safe move. I highly doubt we will see any more freezing temps this season. Just put my 20's back on yesterday. I've had 19's (style 211) with snows on since November. What a difference! The truck went from wimpy to aggressive in 30 minutes. Love it!

Its safe and recommended to move to summer tires when temps are 40F and above. Winter tires wear faster at above 40F temps.

Last year, I only moved to summer tires on April 22nd.

I'm going to make an appointment to put those tires back on -- I'm sick of the winter (and the 214's look so much better).
