The front grills look great with the matching kidney grills (should come like that). Nice job!
They do, it's called the sport package. I have it on mine...

I did the retrofit on the car with the rectangle exhausts. The retrofit was talked about on the forum. If you search, you will find out more on that.

As for the steering wheel ... thats the regular sports steering wheel but with the M-Sport trim piece. I removed the other trim piece as I wasn't fond of that shiny plastic aluminium piece in it. I found it distracting.

As for wheels and stuff ... I have a question. I really like the 20" 214 style wheels, but I dont really want to keep switching wheels between winter and summer. Can you put all season, run flat tires on those 20" wheels? Thanks.
What is the M trim piece part number and was it pretty easy to do?

Craig,

That is funny. I never noticed. The bmwusa configurator doesn't change the grills so I never knew that was included in the sport package.

It definitely improves the look. As you can tell I don't have the sport package on mine.

Thanks.

You're welcome. Yes, it does improve the look of the X5...

Don't know about the 20" (have 21" 239's on now and change the wheels).
I got the dealer to do it when I picked up the car ... but I hear its relatively easy to do yourself.

Not sure on the part number, or if its in the USA parts catalog but I got the part from Roveractive on ebay. Shipped in a couple of days. Highly recommended. Installation involves first removing the airbag, and then unscrewing the 3 screws behind the steering wheel. The M-Trim is quite a tight fit, but once you give it a bit of muscle it fits fine.

You might want to wait for the complete M-Sport steering wheel ..since March production, you can order the x5 with M-sport pack. The steering wheel should appear in the USA parts catalog shortly. Not sure if the M-Sport steering wheel has the nice m-stitching and the heater button? Folks in Europe could confirm.

Nice ride, especially like the color I like the exhaust mod and the silver kidney grills to go with the other silver grill trims.

gotta love the Seattle weather right? Nice ride... 214s and fender flares should be next. I don't see 3rd row listed... why do you want to stick with runflats if you can have a spare?

Thanks ... do you think that the 20" all seasons tires would be ok for winter/snow?
