Good question. Yes, I could add the space saver spare, so thats another option.

question: what are the buttons on the right of your 1 - 6 preset idrive function buttons under the cd drive?
Mine go from 1 to 8... seems like number 7 and 8 have a different function in your car...

oh thats the difference between a US and European speced car. Buttons 7 and 8 in the USA, are FM/AM (goto radio direct) and Mode (Select audio source). Completely redundant ... but BMW got backlash from the USA market regarding complaints that folks couldnt access the radio easily !! Whatever ...

I don't know if it's like that in vehicles that can be bought without idrive. I had a 328 loaner that didn't have it (really weird, to be honest) - in that case, you definitely need a button somewhere that let's you choose audio source (mode let's you choose CD/AUX/FM/AM) but yes the simple AM/FM button is redundant.

I understand that they're like skis, but far better than the summer compound stuff. A neighbor of mine has 20's he put all seasons on and he wishes he didnt...a set of them ran over $1500, for which he could have had a set of 18" or 19" wheels with snow tires.

Ya .. the M3 is gone and to tell you the truth I dont really miss it ... especially with all the fun and games I had with that M-DCT gearbox! That thread I started on m3post is now well past 10,000 reads. Crazy.

Thanks for the input. Sounds like a mix of Summer and Winter tires is the way to go .....

I saw your thread over there - too bad you had a bad experience. Mine's been great so far.
