wow, now that is a nice look'n X5...not so much the gold one, i say it looks better than the matte black X6!

It looks like it's either spray painted with semi gloss or vinyl wrapped...

Not my cup of tea, but it certainly beats the hell out of using paint. The warranty is around 5 years depending on environmental conditions. To return the vehicle to its original paint, the vinyl is simply peeled off. Estimated cost is around $1500-$2000 as per e90post comments, probably for materials only.

That's what I suspect was done to these matte black BMWs... the vinyl wrap.
