Tranmission Update SIB 24 06 08 for the 4.8 engine. MUCH SMOOTHER!!!
Thought I share and hopefully this could be "sticky" for a while until people get their transmission updated.
Took my vehicle in for oil and brake fluid service. Mentioned to the SA that there seems to be an transmission software update -- also described the jerkiness of the car at low speed.
Work that was performed: (exactly spelled out on the invoice)
SOFTWARE CALIBRATION. SIB 24 06 08 APPLIES.
VARIFIED COMPLAINT. CHECKED FAULTS. NONE STORED.
PERFORMED COMPLETE PROGRAMMING AND CODING PER SIB.
Result: It seems my gas paddle is not as sensitive -- at least from start. The power is still there, but it requires me giving a little more push on the paddle it seems -- the car is no longer "guessing" how much throttle/power to give... From my perspective, driving has definitely improved. Though I only have been driving since I picked it up afterwork. Let us know how yours update turn out!
