Repairing windscreen/windshield with HUD
Has anyone got their windscreen/windshield repaired due to a rock chip, and also has the HUD. I seem to be getting conflicting reports. Some say its not a problem and others say it maybe a problem. I found this old post from 2007 ... that sounded like a disaster. http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...ld-repair.html Anyone else have any other experiences. Thanks. |

they sell this sort of extremely sticky clear small circular sticker, i want to say, that you place on the inside of your glass where ever you have a rock chip. my cousin has a chevy that got a few rock chips because of a truck in front of him and he put those things on it, and even now 4 years later the chips havent gone anywhere.

I had mine done due to a small rock chip. No problem. I think it was the Innovis System where they put the suction cup thing over the chip and inject resin. It was a small chip with no spider webbing right in my line of sight.
