Is next gen iDrive faster? Especially for the back up camera?

For starters, did the next generation of iDrive make it into the X5 yet?

If so, does anyone know if it loads up faster? If so, does the back up camera get displayed faster?

I really hate how long the current one loads up. Waiting for the back up camera is a pain! I know a work-around is to unlock the car doors while I'm farther away from the car. But that really defeats "comfort access".
