I wasn't suggesting to let the ins. co. get gouged, I was objecting to the insurance company balking at repairing the windshield with OEM glass (which is an assumption i made based on the OP saying they weren't happy with the cost).

My family business is an insurance agency for the last 70 some odd years, I'm not into insurance fraud, sorry if it came across that way. I was defending the OP's right to have the repairs made with OEM glass.
