One thing to consider is does the mod monitor your exhaust gas temps. If it doesn't, then you better have a way to monitor them or they can get out of hand real quick.
Before I took my foot off of the throttle, I saw brief moments of 1500 deg F on my 1996 Ford F350 diesel truck with one tune I had. Bad things start to happen around 1350-ish if you hold those temps for any length of time.
Ask your tuner what the EGTs are at full throttle, full load for their tune. If they don't know or won't tell you, run away. Make sure you know if the temps were taken in front of the turbo or behind the turbo. Makes a huge difference.
