I had the same situ, way back when our '01 was new...we moved 7 states
away a week after picking it up, new. Never had a prob., though the new location local dlr(s) sucked, and we got a loaner once in 4 yrs of warranty work. The OE Warranty is good at any BMW dlr, and some will welcome you and some will make you sit in the lounge, while they "get to it". No worries on coverage, however. GL,mD
