Dealership Bought From Vs Mere Service !

I ordered my 35d from a dealership 60 miles away though I have one on my way to work at 7 miles. This obviously is because I got a deal for invoice + 700. Is the dealership closer going honor my vehicle for service ? or are they going to look sideways at me. What am I at loss here ?

Thanks for reading.

I had the same situ, way back when our '01 was new...we moved 7 states
away a week after picking it up, new. Never had a prob., though the
new location local dlr(s) sucked, and we got a loaner once in 4 yrs of warranty
work.

The OE Warranty is good at any BMW dlr, and some will welcome you and some
will make you sit in the lounge, while they "get to it". No worries on coverage,
however.

Just like Md said.... OE warranty is good at any bmw dealer.
BTW if your local dealer going to look sideways at you.... just give BMW N/A a call they will take care it for you.

You don't know until you try. Some dealers will look askance, while others will see an opportunity to win you as a customer next time. While as a BMW franchise they are obligated to provide warranty service by BMW NA, one should not be surprised if they treat people who purchased their vehicle from them with extra perks, e.g., a dealer near me provides loaners to all their service customers, but only provide BMW loaners to people who bought their BMW from them -- others get Enterprise rental cars as loaners.

no loaners and they tried to lie to me about more things that happened to my vehicle (original dealership scratched it)... basically they tried to make them look bad. Too bad, they are very close to me.

The service you get at your BMW service desk is 100% based on your relationship with the service desk, not who you bought the car from.

The service manager is limited to what they will do whether the vehicle was purchased from them or not - however if you feel you receive second rate service call BMWNA. (Always maintain a good relationship with the SA!!!!)

There is no reason for either you or the dealer to burn any bridges.

Thanks to all of you for your insight. Now the dreaded waiting part.

With holidays around probably mid Jan.

I have better service at my local dealer. The dealer I purchased mine from is 120 miles away each direction. The selling dealer has crappy service and my local dealer has good service. They don't treat me any different locally for not purchasing my vehicle there...

It's sad that people feel they're "burning bridges" if we're not kissing the SA's ass instead of them simply doing their...job.
