We've picked up '10 35D few days ago for smthg like $800 over invoice, but I did negotiations at the end of Nov, plus having quite a few dealers around DC helps to get the lowest price.
As a side note, if you need financing, Bank of America offers 3.75%/60 months and the application process is very easy thru their website. |

I came in at $1300 over invoice. It was easier to negotiate since the car was being ordered and they had allocations available. Most dealers want to sell all of their allocations.

Thanks Montoya...have a call into Rasmussen. I did get a call from Salem BMW and while they have no X35D's they do have an allocation to order one. The salesman is checking to make sure that the eco-credit would stay in place on this as delivery would be 6 to 8 weeks according to him. I guess the good part is that I'd get exactly what I want. Plus I can sell my X5 locally and have that out of the way rather than trade it in. Now I can't decide between space grey or platinum bronze....

As long as you order before Jan. 4th, you get your ECO credit. Good luck!

Does order equate to a signed purchase agreement or to a deposit placed on a build to order car?

Your signed purchase agreement should show the ECO credit. This is what you get when you order your car.

Guess I'm ordering; nothing to be found that is under $60k on the lot that isn't spoken for. So far 1 dealer has quoted $1,500 to $2,000 off of MSRP for a X35D, Rasmussen in Portland; but they said they have a best price policy so will match others. Waiting on 3 other dealers to get back to me with quotes. Now my big choice is between platinum bronze or space grey. That part makes me happy, the process of the purchase... (bleah).

any luck in SoCal?
I wish I was having the same luck as many of you in Southern California. Best I've come up with for something in inventory is $500 off MSRP.
If I could get $1500 over MSRP, I'd sign papers today. |

This is your problem. I would venture the opinion that NOBODY is getting 'deals' on the few in stock cars in the next few days...dealers are fully aware of the end-of-year tax ramifications. Furthermore, just in general, buyers that 'need to buy today' have given up a strategic advantage... dealers know it, and will make them pay. There are just not a lot of 35d's laying around, and they command a higher price to drive home today. |

You can't build to order? Per my info: If dealer has allocation, you can have delivery before Feb 28 and the eco-credit. But order should be in as sold before Jan 4.
