My 35d is here!

My 35d is arriving at dealership today and I am scheduled for pick-up tomorrow.

I have couple of questions. I am sure my CA is going tell me these and I am also sure I am going to miss all of them while playing with things.

1.Should I be going to green pump or yellow pump for diesel or shouldn't matter ?

2.How do I baby sit during break-in period ?

3.How do I make sure I have topview rightaway, are there little cameras visible under mirrors ?

4.They are going to nitro fill, what is recommended tire pressure, I know for sure they don't follow, I am going to insist.

thanks a lot

Here where I live, you want to go to the green pump. Try and find a place that sells a lot of diesel fuel. Look for premium diesel fuel. You can only use 5% bio diesel.

Good luck and congratulations!

lol.. i got mine up to 100 with only 10 miles on the odometer... so much for break in...

yeah really watch out for the biodiesel label... i filled up once and didn't see the label till it was too late... luckily i don't think i crossed the 5% since i only put in 1/2 a tank and with 1/2 a tank of regular diesel in there already and the posted percentage was 10%

"nitro" as in Nitrogen for tires? Definitely don't spend a dime extra. The highest percentage they can get is 95% on the nitrogen concentrators, and it is not particularly "moisture free". It has no benefit over air.

Go with the pressures listed on the door jamb, and see how that works for you- then adjust for your driving, your roads.

Edit:

I was going to agree with Penguin below, but this should not derail into a post on Nitrogen... it is a scam, pure and simple. In rare instances, the use of technical grade, 99.9% moisture free certified nitrogen from a bottle at the track is a good idea. But this use (pure, certified dry) is being translated into a benefit to 'any nitrogen fill'.... air is 79% N2, the little N2 concentrator in the tire store is 95%... no benefit. Nitrogen and Air all obey the 'ideal gas law'- It is the moisture that expands with heat- Dry Air and Dry Nitrogen are the same.

This is popular since it is one of the last ways for tire stores to make a few bucks selling tires- given that tirerack has eliminated all the profit!

I believe "air" is already about 78% nitrogen.

Congrats! The topview cameras are right under the side mirrors. You can see them easily or if you just rub your hand along the bottom of each side mirror you will feel it. Get in the car, turn it on and put it in reverse. The nav screen immediately switches to park assist you should be able to toggle between topview and rear view using the iDrive knob.
