Just pulled the trigger finally on a W&T Pack Warranty from East Bay BMW/Hendrick on special for $599 out the door, normal price $899.

Includes 3yr or $2k on tires & 3yr or 4-5k on wheels.

What does this mean you only get 3 years of coverage and only up to $2K in tire replacements ?

Is that a BMW warranty, or hendricks own 'in house' plan they offer?

It's Hendrick's own in house plan as my truck is used. You can only purchase the true BMW W&T at the time of a new purchase. I figure $599 gets me a full set of tires mounted and balanced.

Did you inquire about extended warranty coverage as well and received an "all-in" price for the multiple warranty coverages?
True, the roads in your area look like they've been shelled by the enemy; not so bad here in NC.

To be fair, their plan (and yeah, I think it was THEIR plan) basically covered ANY tire/wheel or ANY cosmetic items (dings, etc.) so it wasn't BAD, it was just criminally expensive.

They did not offer me any discounts (oh yes - I tried) on any warranties. I took the extended warranty to 6 years / 100K miles (which was something to the tune of $4500) but not the extended maintenance plan. I'll probably be going to some highly recommended indie shops after 50K. No "all in" discount was ever mentioned.

When I bought my tire warranty I also got the extended maintenance--they (Beverly Hills BMW) discounted both when purchased together.

I just found another screw in my right rear tire over the weekend. So, that's 3 tires at $500 a piece in the 9 days I have had driven it. I paid $1000 for the tire protection plan and I also bought the Extended Maintenance since the brakes on these get worn quickly--that was $2400 so it was $3400 total for both plans--that added only like $65 a month to my payment over 60 months.

The contract I have is 5 years and there is no limitation on dollar amount used. It's a BMW warranty.

I'm thinking about keeping RFT's on mine when it comes time to get new tires as they seem to attract nails and screws more than non-RFT's. Since I have the warranty I would rather have a new tire than just them patching a non-RFT. I know RFTs ride rougher but it seems I would get more new tires that way ha. I have had 3 tire replacements on my warranty and I've had the car for 15 days.

similar position here..i've had the car for less than 6months and already got a puncture..the cost of a 20" RFT is already just as much as we paid for the insurance so its already paid for itself!
