but what about scratches and dings. Would it cost more to have those fixed rather than regular paint? .If anything it should be done on a X6 no offense. But that just my 2cents |

The first picture of a matte black X I saw was an X6. It looked equally great.
Theoretically repair work for matte black should be cheaper than gloss...no clear coat? Although I doubt its this simple, the paint is probably mixed differently and stuff.

If its vinyl matte then you have to first fix the dent the regular way and then put the vinyl again. The pics daripper posted is actually space gray X5 with matte black vinyl.

There is a clear matte film now that you can use to make any existing color matte. I have seen a space gray with it and it looks exactly like frozen gray.
