Angry Top view not available

Just heard from my dealer that they got a bulletin stating the top view camera was not available for the near future. He states it sounds like a supply issue and they are saying maybe untill october. If true this is truly ridiculous. They added on a price increase to the tech package for the camera and I want my damn camera..I feel it is invaluable on a sav and they advertised the crap out of it and make us all want it.I feel since It was on the sav I ordered they should either put it in or compensate the people who ordered it somehow.....otherwise they are just as bad as toyota!

Mine insists its the top view.....I asked him about side view and he said nope its definetley top view....remember the top view cameras are in the mirrors on the side...Mine said it had to do with the mirrors and the cameras....but according to him it was definetley top view issues....any clarification from the experts would be appreciated....

It's designed to look down womens' tops. Invaluable and worth it's weight in gold. It's in the BMW AG German catalogue. I believe it's called "Der Boobielookin Kamera" package.

Didn't the whole 'camera shortage' come up a few months ago??? Do a search and see what happened with that...

It did come up but was resolved...I had one on order at that time so remember it....this is a new bulletin that came out yesterday for 2011's...the camera was available for the customer ordered 2010's but my CA said they are having trouble for the 2011's.Said something about being across the board for all models and that camera package for the F-10 wasnt orderable either...same for X-6 whcih from what I have heard would suck for that automobile (note I didnt say truck ...

Please note that BMW calls the X3/X5/X6 "BMW Light Trucks (SAVs)" in their sales numbers shown below so hopefully the "it's not a truck" myth is over
