So I drove into my driveway, the small orange engine light had come on, but all seemed fine. Suddenly smoke pours out of the engine compartment and toxic fumes fill the cabin. It was like amonia - couldn't breathe and it was nasty stuff.
Turned off engine, opened hood and all doors, let it settle down.
Pressed the SOS, called dealer, etc. X5 is there now, we have a loaner and I will report back to you all the results of the repair.
This is the second time since Christmas that it had to be flat deck towed into the dealership. First time was the Reduced Power issue (see my thread on that
http://www.xoutpost.com/x5-e70-forum...same-time.html).
Still love the X, but really hoping that it won't be a unit plagued with issues.
Anyway, I will update you when I have more information about this latest issue.
