2011 Production & Orders
Is there an official production start date for the 2011's? If so, are orders being input into the typical order system already? Have any Canadians been able to confirm orders, with pricing and production dates, or is it so far only open to US orders? Thanks for any feedback. |

I just placed an order for a 2011 with a Week 14 production. I was told it would start production on March 29 with delivery about 4 weeks later.

I've had an order placed and it's been locked, no more changes, but haven't gotten a production number yet. And mine was one of the dealer's launch supply.

greetings xoutposters, this is my first post! i ordered a 2011 X5 35d (mostly loaded) and am counting the days until delivery.
i am getting the performance delivery in south carloina, and spoke to the person in charge of scheduling down there. i was told my car is a week 14 production and the car should start to get built last week of march or first week of april and then it should be about a month till its ready. one thing - my car is in 112 status, but they can't schedule a delivery yet as the 2011's still have not gotten their EPA and CARB approvals. I was told that until that happens, none of the 2011's will start production. they assume approvals will happen on time, but cant guarantee anything or actually schedule my delivery date, until this is resolved. Production # 7555019
I keep checking my order, every day, and it hasn't gone into production. I'm also part of the launch supply. My guess is that it will go into production either the last week of this month or the first week of April.

I have placed an order. Originally my dealer promised me an April slot and May delivery. Then they got notice of carbon black being delayed until May which could have meant June delivery.
The sales manager called BMW without my prompting and secured the first May run of carbon black for delivery at the end of May. I don't have a price but they've committed to a rate of discount. I actually first specially ordered an X6 then chickened out after they placed the order and after considering the 5GT settled on the new X5. Their response all along the way was "no problem, whatever you want". Outstanding for a Canadian dealer. We don't get production numbers here. |

Yes, that's correct. Carbon on cinnamon with bamboo, exec pkg, premium sound and HUD. I'm very excited about it - its been a long journey.
