I don't see the issue. Car was built in 4/2008. It's a 2008.

So I bought a 2009 and paid for a 2009, but I am driving a 2008. I just wanted to know/confirm what the date was. I think it would make anyone mad to spend soo much money ($125,000 US) and not get what they paid for.
What options do I have as far as talking to the dealer or BMW regarding selling me the wrong year? Or is it too late for that?

What did your bill of sale/invoice say you were buying? I assume that for $125,000 there is some piece of paper showing what you bought. If it states you paid for a 2009 model, I would think you have a good case.

What are the laws where this dealer is? It isnt a matter of "taking it to anyone"... if the dealer has already defrauded you, WHY WOULD YOU TAKE THIS ISSUE TO THEM??? BMW will do nothing- it is a civil matter (if you are in the US) As far as not wanting to "burn bridges". Are you kidding me? Being a patsy and asking "how far" when they ask you to bend over is not my idea of having a good relationship with my dealer. I'd find other cars to drive. Good luck |

I assume they have the same business laws as the US or close. What do I do about it then? I agree. I coud care less about my relationship with the dealer. I won't be buying from them again unless they make this right, which I doubt.

Check first the bill of sale papers you signed. There is a possibility they have model as 2008 on the papers. You can't do anything then.

I will check the papers tomorrow and let you guys know. I checked the vehicle registration just now, and it is listed as a 2009 on that.

What should I do know? What could be the best and/or worst outcome? I am going to speak to my business law professor tomorrow and ask his advice since he knows the laws of this country.

You may also find out the manufacturing cut-off date as relates to model year for your country. Different countries have different cut-off dates.
