Anyone had Crystal Fusion glass treatment applied to their windshield?

I just heard about this new product and was wondering if anyone here has had it applied to their windshield:

Crystal Fusion - CrystalFusion

I had something similar to this applied to my shower glass. No spotting and the water just sheets off... Although the site speaks of chip resistance too.

EDIT: Closing the pores of the glass I guess it makes the surface stronger???

what makes anyone think this is anything other than 'rainx' with a bit more 'technical spin'??

smearing silicone onto glass may alter the surface tension ever so slightly- making it more 'crack resistant'... so it is 'stronger'. Is this measurable?

Are ANY of the claims on that website supported outside of the sellers of that product?

Call me a skeptic....

Read my post I had my shower glass coated similarly. RainX is not permanent.

EDIT: You use the word skeptic as if it's a bad thing, skeptics keep everyone honest

Lexus has for some time offered rain-repellent windshields, which are silicone infused. I'd imagine this is a similar procedure. I can say from experience that it does help tremendously, working much better than Rain-X or other equivalent solutions (such as Zaino). I'm skeptical about the hardiness claims, though.

I personally think its all a little BS, like the "paint protection" that the dealer offers when you buy a new car.

Just use RainX every couple of washes and you'll never be disappointed

There's too little info on the website for my taste.. but if it is anything like what I had done it would be worth it on a car with a NEW windshield.

Say, how much is this miracle treatment anyway???

(And one notes that they provide a 'freshening up solution' to you foreever...free of charge. Glad it isn't like rainx where you have to keep applying it!

Wow! outrageous claims! Makes glass stronger and clearer. Let's see....put something else over the glass to make the glass clearer?? If it's not clear to begin with it won't be clear after treatment. Reduce glare probably, cause your adding another layer of less reflective product. I had rainX on another vehicle and I could not wait to get it off the glass. It reduced the ability of the wipers to do their job. IMO snake oil. I'd like to see independent test results to back up those claims.
