In a word, no.

It was set to expire july 1...of 2009. Seriously. They've 'renewed' the plan 3-4 times since then. The last was July 1, 2010. OP should search for the details.

Funny I am caught in the same dilemma. (35 v 50) My senses say...be reasonable...the 35 has plenty of power to handle all your needs...plus better gas mileage..better price. But the v8 is what made me really want my current x5! I can understand people who live in strictly stop n go metro areas (tri-state friends!) going for the 35. I live in a suburb type area where i am frequently on highways or even back roads where the 50 would really put a smile on my face. Additionally, I do not currently plan on owning a second vehicle, ie sunday car for fun. My x5 is responsible for fulfilling all of my foolish desires! As far as the diesel....I totally get it but it just is not for me. I will be pulling the trigger on a new lease in the next week, I will be sure to let everyone know what happens (a strange part of me wants to order a 550, but I should come to my senses and get another x!)

I am very seriously considering it! The price increase over a x5 50i is holding me back. The options are more expensive on the 550. Plus i tow a sea doo for a couple months a year. Even so...I have considered overlooking that issue haha There is a drop dead 2011 m3 alpine white loaded on my dealers lot right now and a 2010 x5m that has been sitting for nearly a year!! Temptation is burning me alive to make an offer! I have this feeling inside that I need something different to justify signing the high lease contract.

Pull the trigger on 550 before 8/31 and get some discounts on top dealer discount. Waiting to see Dinan or JB tune 550.

Interesting...How does that work? I have heard in the past that it does not apply to those who are leasing. So if the 550 I desire is 69,900..properly equipped...will I be receiving a lease price that is fitting to a 64,400 msrp vehicle? Is there room for negotiation beyond that seeing as there should still be an 8% mark up? Last but not least, is this regional? I am in Western New York. Sounds too good to be true
