I'm glad this worked for you as well. One thing I found is that with a software update my dealer performed (not sure of version or date) the process changed slightly, enough that someone strictly following the old instructions and who is quick to react to the display might not be successful. For example, where Step 3 states "Release the odometer button briefly and press again straight away which brings up a picture of the Brake Fluid symbol (same as the one that the i-drive shows when you look at the Service menu)." you should NOT release the button as this will kick you out of the service menu and you'll have to go back to Step 2. Instead, keep holding the button from Step 2, through the service icon (triangle with an exclamation mark), until the first service item appears shortly after. Also, and not that this is critical as someone should see the service item they are on, but the first service item to appear will be whatever is next due, with the order ascending from there.
