Yes, they look fine. That's not the point. The difference is what kind and how the PS is housed. They will look the same.

help needed with install Lux V3

I can not figure out how these are supposed to go in.

I have a MY11 E70

There are two caps to access the head lights on each side.

Front one has a cap that screws off, and the back one has a clip at the top and flips open then comes off completely.

From the pictures posted earlier in the thread it looks pretty obvious that it is the front cap that needs removing.

Inside i can only see the bulb that powers the highbeam???

The clips on the back of this bulb do not match up with the clips on the Lux

Please help

Thanks

For what it's worth, I don't think the headlight assemblies are the same part numbers. This may account for the difference.

In the US model there is no separate High Beam bulb, and I am guessing it is the same in Australia. There is only one Xenon bulb for both high and normal beam.

Even though it seems that there are two projector lamps in the headlight assembly the inner one drives the Halos. The interesting bit of engineering is that the bulb does not emit light to the front but sideways into the Halo optical channel (it is essentially a very thick fiber optic cable). This same channel wraps around the Xenon as well. So if you take out the bulb and it is not Xenon it is the one driving the Angel Eyes.

I can not find where the bulb for the angel eyes is. looking at these pictures, the outside bulb is for my low beams, the inner bulb is for the high beams. It seems in the engine bay there are two caps to access the bulbs for the headlights. I can not see an H8 bulb in either of these.

Guess i will take it to a dealer and ask them where the AE bulb goes.

From what I can tell you DON'T have HID headlamps. In Australia (and someone can correct me if Im wrong) if you had HID headlamps you would also have the headlamp washer as they are sold together as a package.

You have HALOGEN headlamps and they are put together completely differently. What you're seeing is the high beam lamp behind the screw cap. Halogen headlamps use a weird looking LED unit to light the Halo. Its extremely hard to access and is located inside a square little box somewhere between the Low & High beam. Basically a NUT BUSTER !

Here's a thread which discuss's the whole topic.
