I think you just told me something I did not know. I am using a POP 3 email with BMW Assist.
I guess I need to switch BMW Assist to my gmail account as well if that would solve the problem. The BMW Remote app works but takes me much longer than using Google maps.

Doesn't hurt to try a Gmail account to rule out the problems you've been having. It took me almost a week with BMW Assist to figure out my problem. Turns out it was POP 3 email was the culprit.
Here is what I would do to try this out. Call BMW Assist and have them switch to your Gmail account. Once this is done, wait fifteen minutes for their system to switch over. Sometimes, you might have to wait up to half an hour for everything to switch over. Then use google maps from your android, iphone, laptop or even desktop and try it out. Cheers mate. |

24 hours after resetting my email, I cannot get this to work.
I will have to call BMW Assist this week and see if something simple is being missed.

Well, today BMW Genius then BMW Assist tells me that my email was not changed as I had been told by BMW Assist on Saturday.
I am told that this will now take 1 to 2 weeks and they will call me once it has gone through the system. This process is slightly curious because the BMW Remote app seemed to recognize the new email (gmail) that was supposed to have been processed on Sat in 2 to 4 hours.
