compared to that xentec slim HIDs, this VVME H8 HID kits ,on 60% discount ($31.99) for oncoming Christmas is a better choice for plug-and-play install...Wholesale H8(H11) HID Conversion Kit HID Bulbs Xenon HID Car Headlights Ballast at cheap price
my friends recommend to me for this HIDs, just ordered last week and might arrive at my door tomorrow... cant wait to install it......

for your problem of error codes, you can install a error canceller for HID to delete it and make ur HIDs work properly....

Anyone else using a similar kit? where abouts have you mounted the small ballast?

Im just a tad worried about how hot it gets, and it sitting on top of other wires..I dont want it to melt anything..

didnt you read this thread ? the regular hid kit the way it comes doesnt work in the angel eyes , there's a fluctuating voltage or something that doesnt allow a standard issue hid kit to work !

someone mounted their ballasts on the wiper fluid resevoir and the fuse box.
They get warm, but certainly shouldn't be getting super hot. Most ballasts are mounted with zip ties or double stick tape... if it doesn't melt those, it sure as hell shouldn't melt a wiper fluid resivoir or fuse box. If yours are getting hot enough to melt plastic, you've got a problem.

I have mine VVME.com normal ballasts mounted on my fuse box with no problems.. on the other side I have one on the fender and the other down a little lower... no problems at all..

that is VVME H7 HID kit 43k for low beam. no error yet..

as i know, some BMW models such as BMW 2002+/7 series(recommend slim ballast + canceler),BMW 2005+/5 series are recommended to error cancelers...
