More pics of new 2011 X5, incl. GP Thunders

With just my iPhone, I snapped a few quick pics this afternoon, before I pulled her into the garage! Of course the GP Thunder H8 7500k bulbs are not as good as factory LEDs, they are a great bargain (I pay $16/pair). They have no yellow, and are very bright & really make the Corona Rings/Angel Eyes stand out.

Btw, I am glad the Diesel "Departicleization" process (did I massacre that spelling?) was talked about on our Board. I've had my 35d about a week now, and twice this process has happened after I parked in the garage. If I did not know about this, and it's accompying smell...I might have freaked out!! It is a very odd smell. Like burning paper/crayons/plastic/duraflame log smell. It is very brief, and not a big deal at all!

Seriously, I feel obsessed with my 35d. Our 5th new X5 since 2004...and my absolute favourite (and I thought nothing would be better than our 2004 4.8is!!)

Do to it? Drive it and love it!!! I am even at the point, where I try and create errands. I feel 16 again....I want to just drive!! While I loved my 2010 750i, there was not much driving pleasure!

How do you like the GP's when you turn on your headlights? Perhaps it doesn't happen with the 7500, but there were a few threads with the 8500 that seemed to dim and turn yellow when the headlights were on.

Also, where did you purchase the 7500?
Thanks!

When the headlights are on, there is still no yellow. Of course, since the Xenon lights are so much brighter and more powerful, the Angel Eye rings are not as noticeable when the Xenon lights are on, but that happens too with the factory LED (LCI 3er and new 5er).

For our M6 and my 750, we've bought many, many sets from the same guy on eBay. He's in CA, and he's never charged shipping. I think his eBay ID is justpal.

How hard is it to get to the headlight, angel eye and Fog light bulbs ? I'm planning on doing your same setup. I had something similar in my E92.

For some reason that lasted about 2500/3000 miles per bulb in the 750. In the M6, they last about 5000 miles. But for like $16 a pair...I'm not complaining. The colour is a super, bright white. No blue/purple and No yellow!

It takes about 10 mins total, to replace both bulbs. Each time, it gets quicker...experience. On the 750, you could have Frankenstein sized hands, and still change the bulbs easily. The E70...the smaller the hands the better!!
