good thing is that the X5 seems to retain value much better than other BMW models. I geeked out a little earlier in 2010 and decided to trend depreciation of BMW's for MY2005+. X5's did the best by a bit in front of the 3 series, and M3's. 7 series was the loser from what I saw.

The car has a load management system. When there is a low or no battery the car will shed non essential loads, such as the entertainment systems.
I would go to the dealer and get them to look at the error codes the car will have logged due to the battery issue, and go from there. I believe what you are seeing now is just side effects from the battery problem you had earlier.
