Going from memory here but if I recall the DVD changer only starting appearing in 2008+ MY. Only way to play video DVDs with the CCC based idrive (factory setup at least). Aftermarket options out there though.

For CIC idrive, the single slot will playback video DVDs

You can also play mp3 dvd from the navigation dvd....
